REGENT THEATRE
“CHANCE OF A NIGHT TIME”
j "The Chance of a Night Time”, which will have its last screening today, gives that delightful “silly ass” Ralph Lynn every opportunity to be his charming, diffidently chivalrous, hesitant self, and thus provide a succession of unadulterated fun. Lynn appears as a lawyer, who falls in love with a girl (Winifred Shotter), whom he meets on a country railway station. Winifred is a professional dancer in distress owing to the nonappearance of her partner at a big country house party where the dance act has been engaged to _ appear. Ralnh’s chivalry reaches high-water mark, however, and he agrees to deputise as Winifred's dancing partner. Lvnn is no dancer and with the appearance of the highly temperamental dancer and the” rising wrath of an irate host, it is all he can do to extricate himself from an uncomfortable position.- However. Ralph succeeds in winning Winifred in a mnnrer worthy of a Chevalier or a Clive Brook. To see Lynn mouth a song, to watch him pirouetting in an Eskimo number, is a truly refreshing experience, “VIENNESE NTCHTS”
