REGENT THEATRE

"DIRIGIBLE” Filled with romance, adventure and action, “Dirigible," tho Columbia epic production which opened n. season at tho Regent Theatre on Saturday, is one of the greatest motion pictures made. Tho entiro film-has been xirodueed on a gigantic scale, nothing in time, money or talent, having been Spared to make it a worthy picturisa-' ■tion of the spirit of air exploration. The great airship Los Angeles was used 1 in the production of the picture, and none of the • scenes are "faked” in any way. Tlie full cooperation of the United States Navy was given to tho producers, and tho entire resources of tlio_air station were placed at their disposal. The picture is great as far as thrilling 1 air exploits alone are concerned, but the story enacted by Jack Holt. Ralph Graves and Fay Wray adds to the interest by the emotional problem presented. It is a graphic tale of courage, high adventure and hazardous endeavour. It carries audiences from tho thrilling scene of a Navy Day exhibition at tho Government air station at Lakehurst, New Jersey, to the dreary wastes of the Antarctic, and then to tho boisterous warpath of a typical reception which New York crowds accord a visiting celebrity. Ralph Graves takes the part of a daredevil flier whoso life, torn by a torment of fear, connives to prevent him making a flight to the South Dole. The dramatic developments that follow crip audiences by their power and reality. Tho supporting programme is excellent. Box plans . ar*» at Chrisp’s.
