STRANGE AFFAIR
BULLET THROUGH WINDSCREEN alleged fired 7rom PASSING CAR (Press Association’ X WHAKATANE, Nov. 21. While returning from Auckland A last night shortly after 9 o’clock and f when near Mararaarua. Mr. n. w. Brabant was rising another car travelling slowly when the windscreen of his caT as pierced by .a small calibre bullet, apparently fired from the passing car. The shattered glass lodged on Mr. Brabant's face and clothes and the bullet evidently passed between Mr. Brabant and his. wife, who occupied the front seat. The road was too narrow to turn the rar, but Mr. Brabant .jumped out and saw the other car speeding away, the matter was later reported to the police at Paoroa. ■ •
