TO-DAY’S PROGRAMMES
This "'ill be aviation- night at D A. The evening's concert programme, which will ho appropriate to the occasion, will he interrupted to permit of the broadcast of a description of night living and fireworks at the Aerodrome, Mangere. At nine o’clock, Mrs. .Hewlett, of Tauranga, a noted aviatrix, will give a talk on her experiences. The concert will feature excerpts from “Going Up,” sung by the Salon Orchestra. 2YA will relay from the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall a concert by the Wellington Harmonic Society, The major portion of the programme nil! be choral work, which will include? a variety of part songs and choruses that have been chosen to suit all tastes. Mr. Ernest Jointer (pianist) will play “Theme and Variations” (by Glazunov). Misses Leotiio WhAcford and Edna 'lankersley will sing a duct, and a special feature of the programme will be Master Lex McDonald (hoy soprano) Who ■wj 1T 10. heard 'in * ‘Hear 51 y Prayer.” This nnmbe'r will be sung with chorus by the Harmonic Society.
