SUMMARY AND FORECAST WELLINGTON, Feb. 26.' , A moderate anti-cyclono covers New Zealand to-day, but a new and father dep depression has reached Tasmania, and shortly will be affecting- the Dominion. Forecast AViiuds—Moderate soutlnvc-slerlies prevailing north of Kitwliia and Napier; elsewhere winds veering to northerlies and freshening. Seas (New Zealand waters)—Smooth to moderate generally, but later rising about Cook and Foveaux Straits. Tasman Sea.—Freshening northerly . winds in the eastern Tasman; seas smooth fo moderate, but rising in southern portion. Weather —Fair to fine generally a! first, becoming unsettled in Western and far southern districts later, with some rain. Temperatures. —Cold to.night, but. rising- tomorrow.
