An agreement between the Government of India and Mr Gandhi has been brought nearer by tlio latest developments at New Dolhi, where the Viceroy yesterday ’mob eight leading Indian delegates to tho round table conference.

The Viceroy explained his talks, with Mr Gandhi and the future course of action and it is understood that the delegates unanimously, approved Earl Irwin’s proposals regarding; a Constitution conference ih India.

Mr Gandhi will probably moot tho Viceroy again to-day and a settlement is likely before the week-end. The congress committee has given Mr Gandhi full authority to negotiate a settlement:with Earl Irwin..
