Sir.—Upon entering the (lining room this morning, J was greeted with perfect howls of appreciation from my fellow-boarders and listened twice to the outburst of “Another Jelly Fish,” rendered with great gusto by “the boys.” J am not going to endeavor to “slate” her, lor I feel rather sorry for her. Site is evidently a victim of that scourge known as nerves, and I have a mother whose hair has gone white, and a young sister who, when I last saw her, was on the verge ol collapse. AVitil regard to the womau wno wrote to Invercargill, my feelings are quite different. Much of w'liut was in her letter avus untrue. Maybe this now. correspondent will remember a few of the qualms she suffered Avhe-n she heard all the rumors .abroad in Gisborne— and yet here is one of the rumor spreaders iu our midst, and sho defends her!
