There, pirate junks were attacking other jtuiks. The steuuiers Plunge hang and Soochow joined fc}:ces and manoeuvred, rounding up the pirates, meanwhile ■ wirelessing- the assistance of H. At. S. Somme, which arrived, arresting twelve pirates, who are now on route for Hongkong. , . Captain Kelman, ,of the_ llangsang, states that ho heard firing and cries to save life when near the junks? Thereupon ho gavo chase, threatening to ram the junks, which frantically ende'avourhd to escape. The Haugchangv. assisted by the other steamer, encircled their prey until the arrival of tlyj warship. There wore no casualties. /.
