TONNAGE AT LONDON FOR FAST NINE MONTHS.
(British Official Wireless) • - RUGBY, Dec. 31. Despite the world-wide trade depression, 800,(JUO nett registered tons more shipping used the port of London during the nine months ended September, 1930. than during the corresponding period of the previous year which established a record.
The Port of London . Authority, which has just completed a £5,000,000 programme of new works, thereby considerably improving the port’s facilities, recently Nook 5 per cent, otr the port rates on foreign imports and exports. It also reduced dock rates on shipping by Id per nett registered ton.
