PEACE SHIELD TOURNEY

The tournament"’ was commenced on , the Gisborne and- poverty Bay yesterday' morning. It was declared opened by the president (Mr B Dudfield), on the. Gisborne green, and by Mr.. J. W. H. Holmes, vicepresident, on, the Poverty. Bay .green. The weather was, ideal for play. ihe> greens at. both clubs were playing very well.
