FAREWELL TO MR. G. H

SCEATS

ST AFF PRESENTATION

Representatives of every department of tlie Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Frozen Meat and Mercantile Coy. Ltd. attended in large numbers at a staff presentation made to Mr. G. H. Sceats on bis retirement from the post of freezing manager Mr. A. F. Salmon, who was in the chair, spoke in the highest terms of the personal character and business efficiency of his colleague, with whom he had been associated, he mentioned .since'l9l3. Air. .Sceats was one of the finest personalities to be met with anywhere and he had set an example, by his devotion- to the interests of the company in every post he occupied, that might well be taken to heart by those, who followed iu his steps.* He had always been.ii most-agreeable fellow-worker, with the gift of making friends among the staff and among the clients of the firm; an expert in liis work, ami a man who kept the wheels turning without friction wherever his influence extended. His managership at Hicks Bn v had singled hini out as a particularly capable officer of the company, and those of the .staff who had had occasion to visit the Hicks Bay branch during the years Air. Sceats was in charge there would remember gratefully the warmth of hospitality with which both Air. and Airs. Sceats had made them welcome. Air. Salmon concluded with the hope that Air. and Airs.
