“SUNNY SIDE UP.”

That clever pair of players, Janet Raynor and Charles Farrell score a treat triumph in the musical comedy ‘‘Sunny Side Up,” which delighted patrons at the Regent Theatre both yesterday afternoon and evening. The, production is based on a sound and definite plot, which is cleverly conceived and tells the old, old story in n a most novel and refreshing manner. There are, of course, many out' standing incidental features, but so deftly are these interwoven into the main theme that they give no impression of dominating the production. Among these features the song numbers undoubtedly take pride ot .jla.ee “I’m a Dreamer,” in vlvch Janet Gay nor’s mellow, well-trained voice is 'particularly pleasing, will live with those who hear it for many a clay, while the tuneful rhythm ot “Keep the Sunny Side Up” immediately attracts patrons. The ..duet (Farrell and Janet Gaynor). ‘if -* Had a Talking Picture of You,” is another delightful song number, while it has tho additional advantage of being presented m a distinctly novel and spectacular setting. Jan--d Gnvnor, in the role or Mollie Carr, the care-free, little vaudeville art'st, is seen in what is unquestionably her greatest characterisation to dare. Charles Farrell is also well 1 cast, anti sketches his part as )P born to it. Apart from his acting, wfpeh is most convincing, his- singing is sure to win Inm many admirqrs. The. whole, production is filled with comedy of the most spontaneous nature, .and outstanding performances of this lighter side are provided bv.the excellent work of Marjorie White, 'Frank, Richardson, and IS.
