A new sport which has mam its appearance. in Southland is landyaelitiiig. and, though a casual observer might not think so, it requires as much skill, though admittedly less seamanship, as the manoeuvring of such boats as the Shamrock.. Broadskiing is also possible with the yacht-, hut it is dangerous sport unless the navi-o-ators understand the peculiarities of the vessel. Built On a light- mo-tor-car chassis, .the yacht is equipped with light pneumatic-tyred: wheels and carries a. good spread ot canvas,, -rigged as a. regular yacht with the mainsail attached- to a swinging boom. ■ .
