LEAGUE REJECTS PROPOSAL FOR COMMISSION.

That slavery still exists was made manifest at the League Committee discussion, when a British memorandum asking for the establishment, of a Permanent Slavery Commission was rejected. Mr. Buxton, member of the British House of Commons said that Britain for a century had been endeavouring to limit or abolish tho slave trade, vet the horrible scourge wenton.
