A message from Toronto states that Jack Guest, holder of the Diamond Sculls, will ho unable to compete at the Empire Games sculling- race at Hamilton. He, finds - ' it "impossible, jitter two weeks’ earnest training, to get into satisfactory condition, consequently lie will not compete in the contests this year, he says in a letter to a local newspaper.
