The first general meeting of justices since the formation of the Gisborne Justices of the. Peake Association, was lield yesterday, Air. AY. Lissaut Clayton' presiding. Other •Justices present were: Mesdames A. Leer and \Y. E. GuilV, and Messrs W. Hamilton Irvine. H. M. Porter, J. J. Jackson, I. Hiriield. J. Ik Broudhurst, (!. Smith, If. Ik Boland. J. G. Appleton, 'l'. Corson, D. 11. Grant, ,J. H. Ormond, and F- C. Leggett, and Mr. .J. Jackson (hon. registrar).

The chairman said the meeting had been convened primarily to receive the report of the .Association's delegate to the Federation of X.JL Justices.
