The telephone service in Stockholm is at present undergoing the process of transformation to the ‘‘automatic.” This is being done, district by district, and will not be entirely completed before 1935. The simple one is that by winch the person calling is informed when the client will return to his home,.'or that they', will he available for calls at a certain time. Tor this service a charge of 10 kronor per month is made. A more costly form of telephone watch, is that whereby the message and name of the' person -calling is recorded at tlie telephone central, so that, the client can ring up and obtain this information.'
