FREEZING AWARD.
NEW CONDITIONS
Several alterations of a minor but nevertheless important character have been made, in the Freezing Workers’ Award.
They include the following : Work on ram lambs is stipulated after January 1 in the North Island, and after February 1 in the South Island. ; ‘.‘Hobby” calves are now to no dealt with on weight arid not on age; those 501 b in weight being classed as ten-day. The scale is 7d up to 601 b and 9d up to 301 b. ; A limit of five men to a team on dressing “bobby” cajyeshas been in eluded, with certain • stipulations, * X reezing chamber hands havc_ been brought under the s.ame conditions as other workers, subject to the pow er of the Court to revise fjns after 12 months. The clause governing the minimum wages of casual, workers has been revised. Vi ■
