WEDDING BELLS.
WA U GH—IyIFFATKICK . A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at the Grey Street Hall last evening, when Annie, only daughter of Mr. W. Kilpatrick, of Te Ha para, was married to John Borland, third son of Mr and Mrs A. B. Waugh, of Gisborne.' The Rev. G. Frost officiated. The church was prettily decorated by g.rl friends of the bride. The bride was given away by her father, and looked very attractive in a dainty frock of ivory crepe de chene, georgette sleeves, smocked ■at waist, and radium lace to tone. She wore the customary veil and orange blossoms, with a coronet of brilliants keeping in place the prettily arranged veil; silver shoes and stockings to match. The bridesmaid, Miss Erete Clarke, was dressed very daintily in mauve crepe de chine, with a silver lace yolk, and ruched skirt, a cleverly contrived mob cap, of tulle arranged fan-wise at the back of the heady with silver shoes and stockings to match. Both bride and bridesmaid carried shower bouquets of pale pink roses and carnations. The bridegroom was attended by Mr R. Neilsoii, who ably carried out the duties of best mail.
At the conclusion of the ceremony the wedding breakfast was held at Eindlay’s.tea rooms, where the usual toasts were honored.
After the reception the, happy couple left for a motor tour of three weeks, the bride travelling in a powder blue frock and art silk coat and hat to tone. The bridegroom’s present to the bridesmaid was a handsome silver manicure set. Numerous ana costly presents, including several substantial cheques, testified to the popularity of the happy couple.
