A £IO,OOO suit was lost when llyipan Friedman aged 5, who had, been carefully drilled by his parents for months, forgot that he was supposed to havQ been struck dumb when knocked from his perambulator four years before. '., He had been examined by seven doctors, and successfully resisted their attempts to make him speak, but .was then taken to the judge’s chambers. There ho also held out for a time, hut when asked, “Who pinched you?” with reference to a mark on his arm,, ho blurted out, that a little chum had done it. The child’s mother has heen sent io gaol for perjury.
