. Commencing to-morrow at .the matinee the Majestic Theatre has secured the most unusual and amazing film, creation yet shown at that popular rendezvous. The picture is “The Devil Dancer” a sensational story that delves deep into the inner. temples of the devil worshippers, and shows, for the first timo the authentic devil dance as danced in. Tibet. Tire story is an original one, written for Miss Gilda Gray by Harry Hervey, author of novels of the Orient and its strange people. In ;the cast with Miss Gray arn Clive Brook, in the principal male role. Anna May Wong, Michael Vayitch,' Sojin, James Leong, 'Clarissa Selwyrine arid Albert Conti. With the presentation of “The Devil Dancer” Gisborne will receive its first': authentic view of Tibet, the isolated riiountain section of North-ern-.lndia, inhabited only by the devil- worshipping monk cults. Miss Qjay plays-the-title role. an. English girl,, a . vestal virgin. She is held prisoner' hy the . monks, to dance before . them in the temple of the d civil - gods. The ; . entire production, it is reported, has been lavishly mounted to gain the utmost in pictorial effect in the reproduction of the picurosque background of .the original story. ; In addition.
