The Dominion Meteorologist’s summary anti forecast are as follow: A secondary developed this morning in the rear of yesterday’s depression, and the winds, therefore, veered temporarily to the westward, with an improvement in the weather. The anti-cyclone is now centred over the western Tasman Sea. Strong south-westerly winds to gales and rough seas in New Zealand waters generally to heavy on parts of the coast of the South Island; strong south-westerly winds to gales and rough seas in the eastern Tasigan. Weather unsettled and squally with rain in most districts. Some heavy falls with thunder and hail in places. Cold temperatures
