“YOU KEEP QUIET!”

MR, LYSNAR ACCUSED OF FLAG FLAPPING.

LIVELY INTERLUDE AT TE HAPARA. The quietude of the large gathering of Te Hapara electors who attended Mr. W. D. Lysnar’s address last night was rudely disturbed by an argument started when Mr. 'Lysnar asked: “What do you think of the leader of the United Party, who declared in the House that his party was prepared to put up candidates against Reform nominees to split votes and put Extreme Labor in power?—and Extreme Labor, as you know, is disloyal to King, church and country.” This starred up some Laborites, who had-preserved silence until then, “Mr?"■&ee“toSt"Sirrim’ii'. u ‘WlVab"dld' you lose?” demanded a burly looking mterjector. “We are not discussing that. I will tell you all about Extreme Labor later on,” retorted Mr. Lysnar. “Oh! don’t do so much flag flapping,” snapped the heckler, who kept on repeating his remark. Another voice: “You leave Labor and Mr. Coleman alone.” Mr. Lysnar, pointing his finger at the hefty heckler: “You keep quiet!” “I’ve come to hear Mr. Lysnar, not about Labor.” chipped in another interjector. (Hear, hear.) General hubbub resigned for a few minutes and then t-lie chairman (Mr. O. V. Church) appealed for order. “This is Te Hapara,” he said, “and we don’t have rowdy meetings here.”
