Tho Dominion Meteorologist’s summary and forecast is as follow: — A depression is moving on to the Dominion from the Tasman Sea, while an intense anti-cyclone centred over thei Australian Bight, is moving eastward. A change from westerly type of weather is, therefore, indicatModerate to strong northerly winds of gale force at times but a change to southerlies setting in soon in the southern districts, and: extending over the whole of the Dominion within about 24 hours. Seas rough south of Cape /Egmont, elsewhere mainly moderate at first, but later .becoming rough generally in New Zealand waters and the Tasman Sea. Strong northerly winds backing to strong southerlies to gales with rising seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. ' Weather cloudy and unsettled with general rain developing, with some heavy falls during the next day or two on the cast coast A cold change extending from the south during the next 24 hours, with snow on the- highlands.
