MR, COLEMAN’S VERSION OF RECENT PRIVATE MEETING.

Referring to the work of the Public Trust Office at Te Hapara last evening, Mr. D. W. Coleman, Labor candidate for the Gisl-orne seat, stated that, at 5 p.m.‘ on Monday last, a meeting was held under the auspices, so it was said, of the Accountants’ Society. Not very many accountants attended, but there was a large gathering of solicitors, land agents, doctors, a few dentists and mSTnbers of other professions. A number, of cut and dried resolutions were carried, all condemning the Public Trust Office and other State enterprise's for their encroachment on private business.
