Search proceedings were instituted to-day for Mrs Margaret Olive Johnson, a member of the Salvation Army and well-known in Essex, who disappeared; yesterday. According to her 'statement she was- to inherit a fortune of £74,000 from an Australia' relative. Some months .ago she announced that a good fortune was coming to her, and stated that- she .proposed expending a portion furthering . religious work. She ordered a luxurious motor car and engaged a chauffeur. She also commissioned a firm to construct four houses, one, of which she placed at the disposal of Salvation Army officers. In the meantime, it in stated, she obtained advances of money to carry, on until her inheritance arrived. ..A. •
