WASTED HANGINGS.
VICTIMS SHOULD BE USED FOR CANCER RESEARCH
HUMAN MATERIAL WANTED United Press Assn. Oy ES. Tfrl. Copyriah* Press Association.) LONDON, Nov. 6. Speaking in support of the British Empire Cancer campaign, Dr. Norbury, Medical Officer of Health, Holvwell, declared:— “Researches into human (cancer are hampered by want of material. We waste a great deal yearly .by hangings. I say it in all seriousness. Would it not he possible for everyone condemned to death to receive the option of giving himself up for cancer research. They would have the choice of voluntary sacrifice because I don’t suppose there would be much left of them in five years. Probably the suggestion will hot be considered at : present, hut it is certain our descendants will ultimately adopt some such plan.”
