MR, CLAYTON AT AY WAIROA.
(To The Editor). Sir—l notice at Air. Clayton s Wairoa meeting he was asked question “how lie would vole if Air. Holland proposed a vote of ro confidence in the Reform Government, and his rooly was, that he would not vote with : Afr. Holland on a o-con-fidence- motion to nut him into n nver. except to brino- about'a fresh, election. 1 take this to bo a very evasive answer, lor how would he know whether or not-it-would bring about a fresh election? If Mr Holland got returned as head of the Government, the Reform partv and the Loyalists of the United Party would be sure to combine to turn him down. But, as the Reform partv are go ng to be returned with such a majority, there is not the slightest chance of Air. Holland’s motion boinrr' carried, as only a few twisters from the United party would vote with' him.—l am, yours etc., REFORAIER.
