Sir Kingsley Wood', Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health, addressing the second of a series ot conferences which lie is holding with representatives of local authorities to explain the Government scheme for the derating of industry and the reform of local Government, said social services were costing The country over £1,000,000 a day.
