NEW LOAN AUTHORISATION £3,000,000 FOR PUBLIC WORKS £2,000,000 FOR RAILWAY IMPROVEMENT (Press Association.; WELLINGTON, Oot. 8. In the House last night, the Minister for Finance moved the second reading of the Finance Bill, which, he said, contained 46 miscellaneous clauses, which he would explain in committee. The loan clauses of the Bill authise the Minister of Finance to borrow £3,000,006 for certain public works and £2,000,000 for the purposes of railway improvements under the Authorisation Act, 1914.
