CRISIS IN AUSTRIA.
FASCISTS MAY MARCH ON VIENNA RIVAL DISPLAYS OF POLITICAL STRENGTH United Press (Australian Press Antra.-) (Received Oct. 7, 5.5 p.m.) ‘ VIENNA, Oct. 5. - A great gathering in Wienenustadt on October 7 will represent a display of strength in -which thethree parties—namely, the Heim-west-Austrian Fascists, tho Sehutzband Socialists and the Government —-are participating. The town resembles a field ready for a battle. Twenty thousand Socialists are parading while an equal number of Fascists are also parading as a counterdemonstration. The Fascists are assembling at tho opposite end of the town to the Socialists, while between the two parties aro Government forces of- two thousand steel, helmeted soldiers and -three thousand gendarmes. Austria’s only motor field battery, two horse batteries and machine guns have been requisitioned in order to prevent a clash. Three, hundred extra bods have been provided in tho hospital, while thirty stretchers are available. Schoolboys have vacated a boarding school, which will ho used as a barracks. All army leave has been stopped/ Tho Socialists intend to prevent the Fascists rumored march on Vienna, analagous to Mussolini’s march on Rome.
