There was a coed attendance at the Gisborne Chess Club last Saturday. when the following changes occurred in the chamrv’enshio ladder: Ritchie heat Thompson, and now occupies fourth position : Francis heat both Venning and Alderton ..nd is now placed above them ; Thompson defeated Blackburn and Smy'.he repulsed Fischha: k. all Icr remaining in the same position. The following games are entered lor to-morrow: Ritchie v. Walker, Cleave v. Bkickhurn. Somervell v. Seddon. Ihnneis v. Fischhack. and Yenning v. Aulerton, the first named of each j::’ir Icing the challenger.
