(IS years or over) £l2 5s (£lO 9s); under 18 years £ll (£9 4s); boys (17 or over) £ll (£5); donkeyman and. foreman greaser in ships carrying the engineer £2O (£lB 14s); donkeyman £2O (£lB 4s>), fireman and greaser in skips carrying one engineer £l9 10s (£l7_l4s), fireman, oilburncr storekeeper, -greaser storekeeper, and greaser £l9 (£l7 4s), trimmer and wiper £l7 (£io 4s Od), attendant £l7 (£lO Its &&)• The drastic alteration of one month s wages in addition to- any overtime earned is sought where ships are withdrawn from commission within one month, in place ol; the present 25 per cent. In addition to the rates of wages, some demands relate to seamen discharged through no fault of their own in one month. Seamen on the articles and required by ships to sleep and take meals on shore to be paid daily 10s per day, or 2-si or each meal, and 4s lor a bed.
