Charged with attempted murder. •Villiam Hassett. was arrested at liis home at South Milton yesterday aiit .- icon by Constable McQuitty. He was ‘•barged at the sitting of the Police Court at Milton this morning with . he- attempted murder of Albert Lloyd, a young man, who now lies m Milton hospital with a severe wound n liis abdomen. Hassett was formally remanded to appear before Mr. J. Dixon, S.M., next Monday morning. The injured man's condition is unhanged. The wound, inflicted by a pocket tnife, is of a serious nature, but it is lot considered dangerous. ( Hassett made no attempt to leave Milton after the alleged affray outside Mr. p. Curran’s residence in Union itreet on Sunday night. He was walling about the town yesterday and was ttffiis home when arrested.
