At a meeting of the Victorian Cricket Association it was decided to recommend to the next inter-State cricket conference that the rules governing Sheffield $ Shield cricket bo altered to permit captains to close an innings at any 'time after the first daj-’s play, and that Aus-tralian-made cricket lulls be allowed to be used in Sheffield Shield matches.
