N.S.W. RIFLEMEN ARRIVE

A REPRESENTATIVE TEAM

(Press Association.! AUCKLAND, Feb. 14. With eyes keenly fixed on the N.Z. Bisley, which is to open at Trentham on 23rd of this month, a party of twelve stalwart Australians arrived by the Maunganui this morninv as representatives of the National “Rifle Council of N.S-W. They are from all parts of the State having only three “shots" from Sydney. A. R. McLeod, the captain ot the team, is a newspaper man from Manila, fie ! a member of the National «« Council, as also are Messrs E. VY. Wiles, Smith and F. Stockbndge. The other members of the team are: Messrs E. Boyd, A. W. Latimer, B. F. Freak, G. Forge, E. J. Channon, x S. Fergusson, H. A. Taylor, A. K. Johnston, and W. J. Fulton. On their arrival the visitors were met by members of the New Zealand body. Although arrangements are not finalised, it is expected that on the wav to Wellington the team will shoot a match with the Wairarapa team at Grey town. They will break their journey flt J? r rankton Junction to visit Rotorua on their return to Australia. The members of the team will leave Wellington on Friday, March 2. “Wo have a thoroughly representative team," said Mr McLeod, “tjio National Council having drawn on the length and breadth of tjie State.
