ROYAL HUMANE SOCIETY’S AWARE'S. (Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. Id. At u meeting of the directors of the Royal Humane Society at Christchurch, it was decided to award the lu-ono mezclal to Patrick McCarthy, a young mail residing at Bluff, who rescued Margaret Russell from drowning at Bluff on November 2d last. >
A certificate was awarded the nearest relative of Claude Aldwyu Mulvaney, Auckland, who attempted to rescue Howard Bernard Loft, a lad of nine years, from drowning at Wanganui on January 4, 1928. An application for an award lor Joseph Henry Anderson, Wanganui, was held over for further information, action to be, left with the president and the secretary. The bronze medal was awarded to John David E. Shaw. Christchurch, who rescued Morris Holmes from drowning at Redolilfs on May 25, 1927.
