AUSTRALIAN CROWN RETAINED (United Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Received Feb. 12, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 12. In a challenge race for the Australian professional sculling title Burns, holder, easily defeated MacLaren, avlio stopped at the end of the second mile. Burns, making the pace a cracker, from the jump. MacLaren began to show signs of distress at the 1$ miles and, at tivo miles, collapsed and Avas picked up by’ the official boat. Burns continued and 'finished the course ol throe miles 170 yards in 17 minutes 16 seconds.
