A twelve-roomed house in I tastings, recently .used as a boardinghouse, hut vacated about'three weeks ago. was very considerably damaged by fire this evening, most of the rooms being pra ficallv gutted. The origin of the outbreak appeared to bo in . the ceiling, hut the cause is unknown _ The budding- is owned by Mr. J- SV. Harding, Wnipuknrgu. The insurances were not ascertainable to-night. This is the second instance within a fortnight of a fire in on * unoccupied hoiise in Hastings.— r.A-
