The Prefect of Seine has ordered the elimination of many of fhe largest electric: signs in the centre nl the city owing to the fear or the boulevards in the Place de la Concorde becoming, like Broadway or 1 ieeadilly Circus. Signs will he limited to goods pokl in the building to which tliey are attached. This means that scores ol signs which feature Paris nights will disappear, including an electric newspaper printed in English.—A. and
