FIREMEN’S FUNERAL
CEREMONY DISTURBED BY TWO ALARMS.
LONDON, Dec. 31. The fitneral of four firemen was passing a Glasgow fire station when the hells rang* resembling a tribute to the dead, but the guard of honor rushecU inside. The funeral procession, including hundreds, of firemen, police and public representatives, halted while the engines hurried out to the fire. While the bodies were being lowered into the grave a second alarm compelled the firemen to hurriedly deposit wreaths and rush off to duty.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
