south island championship. t { CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 3. The South Island Rifle Association’s championship meeting was concluded to-day in-fine but windy weather. The champion grand aggregate resulted; Rifleman V. , Tims (Christchurch Railways Club) ,29RR ifleman W. R. Barrett (Svdenhalff Club), 293; Rifleman Tt. Piper (Christchurch Club), 292: Rifleman D. Koir (Ashburton Club), 292. The tyro ’aggregate was won by Rifleman P. Pone (Lake Brunner) with a score of 277, and the champion teams match by the Sydenham Club with a score of 449.—P'.A. • •
