(Received Jan. 10.',0 p.m : NEW YORK. Jan. 3. The captain and six of the members of the crew of the British fishing schooner. Kosca imo BeHeve.au. which arrived at Portland Maine, reported that they heard the whin of an airplane motor followed bv a splash in the water off Nausett beach Massachusetts at, eight on the night of December 2-J. This is believed to have been Airs. Grayson’s missing plane. The schooner was unable to render any assistance because of the heavy seas running, and having no -radio aboard the crew could not inform two steamers a few miles ahead.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
