PEACE SHIELD TOURNEY

THREE ROUNDS PLAYED

Play in the Peace Shield tournament, commenced’ yesterday morning; oti three local' greens. Twenty-six rinks have entered and eight each are playing on the Gisborne End ltnhutia greens and Pen on. the Poverty Bay green. The 1 ' finals will he played probably on the Kahutia, green. Section A is being played at Poverty -Bay, section Ji at Ivaluitia and section C at Gisborne Club greens. Mr D. G.: Robertson, on behalf of the local centre, ..declared';, the 'tournament open-at’the Kahutia green, extending a hearty' welcome to visiting bowlers- and wishing them all the compliments of the season. 2VI r J.
