(Special to the Times.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 30. A good story is told ot a sporting parson in Morrinsvillo. A keen cricket enthusiast, lie takes his place regularly in tin- Morrimville eleven, and last Saturday week lie. was within an ace of receiving the double triumph of compiling a halfcentury anil increasing his congregation tin- following day by ten. Most of the player* were by now resigned to paying the penalty, hut when 48 the parson made, a nervous stroke and was howied. It is said that the team nil went to church, to the parson's delight.
