A "husband calling” contest was held at the Suffolk fair, Virginia. Some of the wives are pretty, some ycung, and others not so young. The wife using the most aifectionate and endearing manner of summoriing her husband is to receive a reward. The judges are three well-seasoned married men who are accustomed tp being “called,” and are able to recognise the voice of authontv.
