THE WEATHER
WELLINGTON, Last Night. Moderate to fresh westerlies northward of Kawliia and East Gape, and strong northerly to westerly winds to gales elsewhere, backing to southwesterly and decreasing later; weather unsettled, cloudy and squally witli rain south of New Plymouth aud Napier, more especially in the western districts hut fair to cloudy elsewhere. The barometer is unsteady but has a falling tendency.
