TROWERN KNOCKS OUT AGKWORTH. AUSTR ALLAN TAKES HEAVY , PUNISHMENT. (Received Oct. 20. 1 a.nr.V SYDNEY, Oct. IS. Trowern 9.9 J knocked out Aclrworth 9.81, ‘ in.’tho sixth round of a fifteen round contest. The New Zealander’s cyclonic attack floored Ackworth twice in the first round, hut liis ovor-eagemess spuilt his chance of 11 Icnoek-out. . Trowern’s attack in tho second round staggered his opponent,’ and missing a wild swing, he fell through: the ropes'. The New Zealander continued to force the pace in the third round, but the Australian’s cautious boxing nullified/ attempts to • score, Aekworth/ was floored again in the fourth round with a right to the chain, and took heavy punishment throughout the fifth round. Two rights -to tho jaw dropped Aekworth'for nine in the sixth round, and the intervened and awarded the decision to Trowern.—U.P.A.
