Henry Fugli, manager of the Teremakau sawmill, was killed this morning. He was working at tlie loading bank and slipped, a log rolling over him. Ail inquest will be held this afternoon.

Hurled 13 yards from his motor cyclo and turning somersaults as he went, H. S. Weston, of AVhitleigli Avenue, Addington, “had a miraculous escape from death last evening when his machine collided with a motor car at the intersection of Lyttelton street and Lincoln road.
