At the .Hamilton Court to-day‘Wil-liam Harold Melville Taylor, aged 29, was charged with the theft on September 3 of a mailbag and contents, and with -the thefts from postal packets of two cheques. Accused pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial at thouiext sitting of the Hamilton Supreme Court. There are over twenty witnesses .in the case, and sensational evidence was tendered, relative to the passing of cheques. Accused admitted •he had been previously lined £2OO for the theft of rings.—F'.A.. - .v.......
